What do I do?

I am a Psychosynthesis Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, with a Postgraduate Diploma in Psychosynthesis Counselling,

I work primarily with female-identifying and LGBTQIA+ individuals on issues around sexuality, trauma, relationships, identity (which encompasses purpose, meaning, and life transitions), anxiety and depression, professional paths, self-esteem and body issues.

I see clients on a longer-term (eg 12 weeks or more) basis, weekly. I believe longer term working is more conducive to creating change and understanding.

I am queer, LGBTQ+ affirmative, poly and kink knowledgeable, and happily work with people who identify as diverse in their sexuality, gender and/or relationship styles. I trained as a Sexological Bodyworker (also known as a Somatic Sexologist) and I integrate this modality into my therapeutic work.

A modern approach

I offer a compassionate and empathic environment in which to creatively explore difficulties as well as your ambitions and dreams. My approach is collaborative and non-judgmental and is informed by my training in somatic (body-related) disciplines - we will be paying attention to what is happening in your body, alongside your feelings, thoughts, imagination, and spirit.

My primary modality, Psychosynthesis, goes beyond where many therapies finish - we will not only explore “what’s wrong”, but also understand where you are, where you want to be and how to get there. My aim is to guide you to connect to your own innate health, to discover your true potential and become all that you are capable of being. The therapy is tailored to your individual needs and I draw on a range of theoretical approaches, as well as techniques from art, music and drama therapy, guided imagery, mindfulness, journaling, and embodied techniques to help you achieve awareness, emotional balance and freedom.

I provide a safe, supportive, and collaborative space for you to slow down, find your resources and connect with yourself, through telling your story and exploring tools to calm, protect and care for yourself. I can help you understand how your past and present are linked to the symptoms, issues or longings that have led you to seek therapy. This can give you a deeper experience of who you are, and where you really want to go in life.

Who am I?

Hi, I’m Kitt!  I’ve had an interesting life so far. I’ve performed on stages around the world and have done the fancy degrees and high profile jobs; I’ve been a friend, a boss, a colleague, a soulmate, a wife, a lover, and a few things in between; I’ve lived on a three continents and been blissfully happy in a tent and unconsolable in a castle.  I’ve meditated, yoga’d, sung, howled, studied, danced, painted, played and loved my way through 4 decades and am looking forward to at least 4 more.

I know quite a lot about startups, business, and tech, so if you’re looking for coaching on startup life, get in touch.

These days, I embrace messiness, exploration and being uncomfortable. I believe, without any shadow of a doubt, that our bodies hold our healing.

I am a registered member (number 388545) of the of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy and adhere to their Code of Ethics found here.
